The need to write

It's been a very long time since I've seriously journaled. I was maybe 15 or so when I had the most serious issues I could ever face (read: girls didn't like me) and I started journalling a lot. Pretty much daily.

I'd like to keep it saved online and I trust the author, Herman, to do a good job.

In the beginning, as usual, I was thinking to build it myself, then I remember that I already built it myself once on Rails + React for a tiny minimalistic journalling app that is functional and was already live but I abandoned because there's just too many alternatives, and what I wanted to was make money off of it.

But this time, no, for once in my life I want to write just to write.

To settle down my thoughts.

To get back into that habit that I spent so much time in.

The only issue is that obviously I'll have to anonymize certain name, for fear of retribution or simply because there are certain things that I won't be able to say.

As long as what I share is more in the sense of my own personal improvement and not external criticism, I think I'll be okay.

It's a shame that more of us are not writing, "because we have no time" yet we can sit down with our phones for 30 minutes (or realistically, 3 hours) a day mostly wasting time. I know there are those who don't waste time, but they mostly only live on the internet behind clickbaity Instagram headlines.

Tomorrow or later today I'd like to write about Cal Newport spending time watching shows, something that caught me off guard.
